Ask and answer of oil expeller press:

1. Three key factors for oil pressing: temperature, moisture, speed
A) Temperature: The cold-press temperature mainly means the temperature in chamber of screw press. Add a little of feed and wait the temperature rises to required level, then add the feed gradually to prevent blockage; the hot-press temperature includes the temperature for cooling the materials. By appropriate heating, the protein can be fully denatured and coagulated. And this process reduces oil viscositysimultaneously and collects the oil drops, accelerates the oil extraction from the cells of the materials which improves the quality of crude oil and provide favorable conditions for the oil prssing.
B) Moisture: During the oil pressing, the moisture generally is 3% ~4%. If the oil material is too dry, the oil can not be pressed out, and the material can not pressed into oil cakes but into powder which contents oil; if the oil material is too wet, the oil material can be pressed into oil cakes, but the cakes are bigger with a lot of residual oil, the pressed oil has many bubbles, the outlet oil is in less quantity, intermittent and is easy to cause drain back.
C) Speed: Lower speedof the motor, better effect of pressing.

2. The grinding-in of the new oil press.
The new oil press need use the coarse sand and broken cake to grind. A appropriate amount of water shall be added into themixture. If the mixture is a little wet and can be formed into a lump by hand- graspping, but it becomes scattered when you lose the grasp, above these indicate that the moisture is suitable. About the time for grinding-in: the 6YL-68 small oil press needs to runs about 40 minutes, and other large machines need to run more than 20 minutes.

3. Model 68 oil press uses coarse sand in grinding:
Mixture ratio: 20 kg cake with 3 kg coarse sand
Grinding time: half an hour -1 hour
Ground level: the cake outlet process is smooth

4. How long to add oil for promoting bearings and other parts?
 Every 4 hours as average.

5. The motor for oil press:
Four grade motor, medium speed, 1,400 rpm.

6. When is the best time to filter the pressed oil?
The pressed oil shall remain the temperature above 20 ℃ to ensure the filtering. The higher temperature of the crude oil is, the filtering process is faster. But canola oil is very dirty and difficult to filter.

7. Drain back happens during the cold pressing
During the cold pressing, adding too many peanuts may causes drain back. When it happens, use tools(stick) to stab the flake discharge part.

8. How to increase the oil yield:
Before pressing the peanuts, add some water to make the peanuts soak the water inside. Usually it starts to spray water about 20 minutes before oil press.

9. Sudden shutdown, screw shaft stuck
a) The new machine does not finish the process of grinding-in and feed a large amount of materials to press.
b) During the pressing process, the pressing chamber is empty firstly, but following with continue feeding a lot of materials, this will cause poor discharge and block to the pressing chamber. Therefore, feeding should be continuous and even, the cake should not be too thin. Once it shutdown, you should immediately turn off the power, close the feeding  regulate plate, and stop feeding, open discharge plate, back-off the screw shaft to make it out. Then clear the oil material in the pressing chamber and restart.
c) The oil material is not pre-cleared, some stones, metal and other hard impurities enters into the pressing chamber.
